We spent the afternoon at the orphanage. Several of the girls have just completed a course in baking and/or sewing. We got to see (and smell) the fruits of their labors. The cakes that they displayed for us were truly beautiful. They had also made sets of single sheets and other bedding for sale that looked very professional. Their instructors had volunteered their time in order to teach the girls some valuable skills. Several of the girls received recognition for their hard work.
Later on, everyone had a chance to relax and get to know one another better. Several members on the travel team shared a rosary with the girls, as the sun was setting over our first full day in Honduras.
Love the pictures and reading the news –hugs to all! Jane

The church looks beautiful where you went to mass yesterday. And is that you Theresa playing the guitar in one of the pictures? What a experience you must all be having. My prayers are with you all and the children and nuns and older people.
Love Sharon Moyer (Theresa’s mother in law in Chicago).
