This week the Honduras Mission Project held a “packing night”. Volunteers sorted through and packed all our donations, supplies for activities and projects, and gifts- for the elderly, girls in the orphanage, nuns, and girls that help run both homes. We also put together the pen pal letters that were written by all school and Religious Education students. We stapled the cover page, which includes a class photo, to the original letter and the translated letter. We also organized photographs for each girl for an individual scrapbook craft we will do with the girls. The bags were all weighed (under 50 pounds) and counted. We are taking 22 bags plus each traveler has their own personal bag which will have to be a carry on!
A big thank you to all our volunteers who helped on Packing night and/or sometime before packing night with donations, translating, printing photos, purchasing gifts and many other giving gestures of love and faith.
