Hola from Honduras. Feliz Años Nuevo and Happy Epiphany. I feel blessed to be able to return again as a member of SMA.
The nuns, girls and elderly all send their heartfelt gratitude and love. We continue to make a major impact in all their lives.
Yesterday was a full day of travel including a 5 hour – 90 mile van ride up the mountain.
We took a slight detour when the Sors (nuns) wanted to stop and visit a new Navidad / Christmas nativity site, including live animals and a newly erected chapel. We were greeted by the innkeepers, Franciscan Brothers who invited us in. The experience was as if were the Magi being led to meet the face of Jesus.
Upon our arrival to Santa Rosa, we were greeted by the Sors at the elderly home and headed to the orphanage where the girls were feverishly awaiting arrival.
We ate a traditional Honduras dinner and had a wonderful time reconnecting with the girls.
Buenos noches!
Mike (Miguel)
