St. Michael the Archangel Honduras Mission Project

Buenas tardes paz de nosotros a ti. (Good afternoon, peace from us to you.) We are Mike, Sharon and Elizabeth. Yo soy Elizabeth and I’m excited to be making my first visit to our mission in Santa Rosa de Copàn. Today, we toured both the old folks’ home, as well as the girls’ home. To refresh your memory, the girls are housed by age: the youngest are called Estrellas meaning stars. Next oldest are the Perlas, meaning Pearls, followed by Diamantes (Diamonds) and finally Esmeraldas, or Emeralds. The girls range in age from 5 to 37. Tomorrow we visit the hospital across the street!
