Hola from Santa Rosa!

Today was another full day. We started off as usual having breakfast with the Sors at the Hogar de Ancianos. Following our breakfast, we went to mass with the elderly.  

In the early afternoon, we had lunch at the Hogar de Ancianos and then spent quality time with the elderly playing music, dancing, updating photos of all the residents, and then served cake to them. Many of the elderly have difficulties on their own but the Sors provide such loving care. 

This afternoon, we went “to town” to pick up coffee and gift items to bring back home.  While in town, we took advantage of the opportunity to visit the Cathedral and a rooftop view of Santa Rosa from the Hotel Elvir. 

Next up was dinner with the Sors at the Hogar de Ninas and another night of Olympic Games with the girls. 

The virtue we reflected on today was that of perseverance. As we have visited with the Sors, elderly and girls this week, we have seen the perseverance they display every day in just living.  The daily trials they endure reflect the trust they place in Christ. We have witnessed their fortitude and determination.
