After a tour of the elderly home, and lunch with our hosts there, we journeyed down the street for another visit to the orphanage. We spent the afternoon helping the girls with two separate projects. The first was creating individual scrapbooks with supplies that we brought along to share.
The second project was sharing letters that the children of St. Michael’s have written to the girls here in Honduras. Both Parish School children and Religious Education children take part in this program. Each girl in the orphanage has a class of students who write to her. The letters are translated and shared, along with pictures. We helped the girls to write back to their St Michael’s friends, and these letters were translated as well.Responses
