St. Michael the Archangel Honduras Mission Project

Day two.

In this first mission trip for me, I find the constant welcome and hospitality of our hosts amazing. 

After a delicious breakfast and morning Mass, we spent some time at the home for the elderly.

In the early afternoon, we visited the center for the protection of pregnant women and mothers of newborn children.  We are thankful that they shared their stories with us.

We later did some luggage relocation workout and sorted out donations, gifts and the materials we will use for games and crafts.

We spent time at the girls school where Sharon took new pictures of the girls (they grow too fast) while Karina helped fill their info and interest forms for the pen pal project.  One of the highlights of the day for me was to work together with the girls putting together the goal posts  for tomorrow’s soccer fest.  

Father Brian arrived in the evening.  He was received with songs, confetti and fireworks, many of which he lit himself.

Dinner with the nuns and girls concluded with music and dancing. Mike and Father Brian were the stars at the dance floor.
