¡Bienvenidos from Honduras!
Travel day is always filled with excitement and maybe a wee bit uncertainty, especially for our new travelers.
Our preflight reflection ; “My living presence is your Companion the rest of the day” quickly became our reality when we were forced to change planes in Atlanta leading to arriving 3 hours late and not arriving in Santa Rosa de Copán until after 8pm.
We all quickly realized the day we had didn’t really matter as we were warmly greeted by our friends at the elderly home with warm welcomes, smiles, hugs and music. No Honduran coffee was needed to revive us. Being present is all we needed.
We then walked across the street to see the girls. They were anxiously waiting for us and serenaded us with more songs, smiles, hugs, confetti, fireworks, a traditional Honduran dinner and even a little dancing. Again, presence on steroids led us to an amazing day one.
